An Evening with Neko Case w/special guest Anais Mitchell to benefit Catamount Arts
Capping an exceptionally successful 2009, which includes the first Grammy nominations of her career for her album ‘Middle Cyclone’ (Anti- Records), Neko Case will be performing a show Friday, March 12th at Fuller Hall in St. Johnsbury, Vermont to benefit the Catamount Arts Center. All proceeds from the concert will go to benefit Catamount Arts in its mission of enhancing the cultural climate of northern Vermont and New Hampshire. Since the non-profit was founded in 1975, integration of the arts into community life has been Catamount’s guiding principle. Catamount cultivates awareness and appreciation of the arts through educational programs with local schools and a diversified schedule of film, music, theater, dance, and the visual arts. The new Community Arts Center features two movie theaters, allowing Catamount to present a regular schedule of acclaimed foreign-language and independent films; two state-of-the-art classrooms, which are used for art, computer and music education; an 80-seat performance space dedicated to regular performances by local artists; and a gallery showcasing local and area artists’ work.
